Crazy-full of vocab!

Tons of vocab words in my latest book, Love Walked In:

"And when I think about it, I don't mean actually that I hadn't thought about him in quite some time. Instead, I mean that I hadn't thought about him directly in quite some time. Because he is not one of the myriad people I've known in my life or continue to know who enter my mind, stay awhile, and leave. He's just in there, like Linny or my mother or father or siblings."

"Anyway, at some point, they'd applied jointly for a hefty grant to go work on some project in the Galapagos Islands, and what killed their relationship is that the grant was given to Edmund (that was his name, Edmund Battle) only, and he accepted it sanguinely without insisting that Ollie come too, her not inconsiderable charms losing out to the siren calls of turtles and finches and career opportunity."

"That evening, my mother took Clare to the Sandovals' house. A diplomatic mission, likely, although I didn't think it would be necessary. Civilized people don't blame parents for their daughter's behavior, no matter how feckless or adulterous, and the Sandovals were nothing if not civilized."
