From some dog show that was on as I was flipping channels:
"It says in the breed standard that these dogs are aloof. Is that true?"
"Yes. That's true of all sighthounds. They were bred to gaze off into the horizon."
[Then they used the word aloof at least 18 more times until it became extremely annoying!!]
